What data does PROOF collect?

PROOF collects minimal data. There is no signup, no account creation, no email collection. We use Google Analytics 4 to track anonymized usage statistics such as page views, browser type, and approximate country. The tool itself runs entirely in your browser. Page audits are performed in real-time and audit results are not stored on any server.

Do you use cookies?

Yes, only for Google Analytics 4. These cookies (named _ga and _ga_*) contain a randomly generated client ID and do not contain personal data. They help us understand how PROOF is used. See our Cookie Policy for full details and opt-out instructions.

What about the URLs I audit?

When you submit a URL for a live audit, PROOF fetches that URL through a public CORS proxy service to retrieve the HTML for analysis. The URL is not stored, logged, or associated with you. The CORS proxies used (corsproxy.io, codetabs, allorigins, thingproxy) have their own privacy policies. PROOF cannot guarantee what those third-party services log.

What about local storage?

PROOF saves your language preference (English or Arabic) in your browser local storage so you do not have to switch every visit. It also remembers if you have dismissed the mobile notice. Both are stored only on your device and never transmitted to any server.

What about cookies?

PROOF uses only Google Analytics cookies for anonymized usage statistics. We do not use advertising cookies, retargeting cookies, or social media tracking cookies. See our Cookie Policy for details.

What about the bookmarklet?

The capture bookmarklet runs only in your browser when you click it. It extracts the page content from your current tab and base64-encodes it into a URL fragment that opens PROOF. The page content travels through your browser only and is never sent to any server. PROOF processes it locally in your browser and discards it when you close the tab.

Can I request data deletion?

Since PROOF stores no personal data, there is nothing to delete on our side. You can clear your browser local storage at any time to remove your saved preferences.

Changes to this policy

If this policy changes, the updated version will be posted here with a new "Last updated" date. Material changes will be communicated through the PROOF interface itself.
